Cloud cover to the west and the sun rising in the east. It's a very unusual occurrence for Sacramento this time of year. I had a professor in college tell me that this is the "Artist's Light". It's why artists flock to western coastal cities like San Francisco where this happens for months at a time. Typically, in Sacramento, in order for the landscape to be this bright, the sun will "bleach" the color from everything more than a few feet away. This would be the best time to take pictures. Ohp! Too Late. It's over.
